New Facelifts: More Convenience and Less Downtime
Lawrence J. Fliegelman, M.D.
Responding to ever-growing demand, plastic surgeons are always looking for a procedure that can be performed quickly, while obtaining excellent results with little downtime. As a result, the basic facelift (rhytidectomy) procedure has undergone many changes over the years.
New techniques such as thread lifting have attempted to achieve a facelift with little downtime or bruising but the results have been disappointing. At Turquoise Medical Day Spa, we have developed two exciting new facelift procedures—the Turquoise Liquid Lift and the Turquoise Mini Lift—both offering excellent results.
The non-invasive Turquoise Liquid Lift involves the use of Botox® Cosmetic, Juvederm Ultra and Sculptra to volumize and lift the face in key areas, giving the appearance of a surgical lift. This procedure is performed in the spa with local anesthesia in less than 30 minutes, and clients experience minimal bruising or downtime. Using this technique, brows are elevated, eyelid hollows are filled and cheeks and jowls are lifted.
The Turquoise Mini Lift is a surgical procedure which is a variation of a mini-facelift. This procedure can be performed under local anesthesia with sedation or with general anesthesia. Using camouflaged incisions and a specialized suture technique, a face and neck lift can be performed in half the time of a traditional facelift with equivalent results, minimal bruising and very little downtime. Most patients are back to work in 5 days. This procedure can also be combined with a brow lift and eyelid lift for a full facial rejuvenation.
If you’ve been looking in the mirror and wondering whether a facelift is the right option for you, the two new procedures available at Turquoise Medical Day Spa are worth looking into.
